Most vehicles are built using rubber bushings in the control arms, strut rods, suspension and body mounts, sway bars, shocks, etc. In addition to being on the soft side , they tend to deteriorate rapidly. This can lead to premature component failure, a "spongy" ride and less-than ideal handling. Polyurethane bushings will provide a stiffer more responsive suspension system.
Factory rubber bushings need to be burned out leaving the metal sleeves in the control arm. The new poly will press into the old metal sleeves. The Fiero Store recommends getting extra Teflon grease (#51750) when installing new polyurethane bushings. It is better to use too much grease rather than too little. One kit will replace all of your front control arm bushings.
