IAC Valve Installation Procedure

Disconnect the battery before servicing any electrical components.

Before installing a new IAC valve, the pintle position MUST be checked. Measure from the gasket mounting surface to the tip of the pintle. This should measure 28mm (1.125 inches), see Fig. A
You can adjust the pintle by firmly pressing and turning it in or outward to reach the necessary measurement.
